Types of Boilers

As we, all know that boilers are one of the most important parts of industry whether it is a food industry or any other industry. However, there different types of boilers that are developed for some special types of works. Here we have discussed some of them:

Steel Boilers- These are one of the most common types of boilers that are used in the industries. However, in this type of boiler, there are two subcategories in which it is divided:

  1. Fire-Tube Boiler- In these types of boilers the combustion gas would pass through the tubes and the water is surrounding the tube from outside. The best part about these types of boilers is that they are easy to use and it can be planted within seconds, which means the industry can easily include this type of boiler in its construction panel.

But along with the advantages, there are some of the disadvantages after these types of Boiler install, like the stream takes a lot of time to get produced and as a result of it, the whole process would get delayed and takes a lot of time to get processed. This occurs due to the large volume of water that is required to produce stems in it.  These types of boilers are usually found in the scotch refining industries, as this boiler is highly compatible with the marine industries.

  1. Water-tube Boilers– In this type of boilers the water will flow inside the tube and the gas is around the tube. The best part about these types of boilers is that they are highly efficient as compared to the fire tube boilers because the streaming process in these types of boilers take less time to produce the vapors and start the boiling process as compared to the other types of boilers. The working process of the water tube is completely different as compared to the fire tube boilers.

As in this type of boiler, the water flows from the tubes and the burner is at the end of the tube to heat it and boil it. These boilers are connected with the drum of steam or with the drum of mud because all the steam produced would be transferred in the upper drum. The industries or factories that need steam on a large quantity can go with these types of boilers. Some of the other benefits that we get in the water tube as compared to the fire tubes are:

  • The size of the water tube is higher than the fire tube boiler which means the production level and storage capacity of a water tube boiler are greater than the fire tube boiler.
  • The pressure level handled by the water tube boiler is greater than the fire tube boiler.
